Diamond Dawgs Baseball Club

***Announcement!!***

Due to an overabundance of travel organizations in Loudoun County the Dulles Diamond Dawgs will no longer sponsor high school aged travel teams. All high school aged travel teams will fall under the Mid-Atlantic Mets travel baseball organization including a Mets Scout Team which will play in the NVTBL ODL division along with a couple of preset travel tournaments. This allows us to actively recruit players from outside the Loudoun County Area for our program. Players can come from (but are NOT limited to) Fairfax, Frederick County, Clarke County, Stafford County, Prince William County, Faquier, Manassas, Arlington, and Alexandria Counties. Try-outs for the Mets Scout Team will occur in March/April. The team will be coached by Traelic Cotter (Potomac Falls Varsity Assistant) and all information will be maintained on the new Mid-Atlantic Mets website, www.midatlanticmets.net . The Diamond Dawgs will still maintain 8u - 14u travel programs and are now taking applications for franchises starting in the Fall of 2009. Diamond Dawgs Baseball Club adds 11u program for Spring 2009!!

The Diamond Dawg baseball Club will welcome an 11u program starting in the Spring of 2009. The team will be run by Ron Roby and coached by Stone Bridge football's own, Mickey Thompson!! Here's what Coach Gitzen had to say:

"It is a great pleasure to have a guy like Mickey Thompson involved in coaching the youth of Loudoun County. Coach Thompson has a vast wealth of expereince with travel and high school baseball, from being the Head Varsity baseball coach at Park View and one of the coaches of the original Ashburn Alley Cats. Not to mention he's pretty god at developing athletes as the best high school football coach in Loudoun County history!"
